Baystate Health’s Dr. Jackson Williams to Speak on Ebola

Jackson Williams, MD will speak at an Instant Issues event on “Ebola’s Impact on West Africa” on  Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Community Room at One Financial Plaza  (1350 Main Street) 3rd Floor, downtown Springfield.

The cost for members is $5 without a lunch and $15 with a lunch provided.  Nonmembers cost is $10 without a lunch and $20 with a lunch provided.  To reserve a sandwich–tuna, turkey or vegetarian–reply by email or call the World Affairs Council office at 413-733-0110.  Register online with a credit card here. The RSVP deadline is Monday, January 26.

Dr. Jackson Williams, division chief of pediatric hospital medicine at Baystate Children’s Hospital and is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics & Internal Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.   He has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and has done volunteer work in India and Haiti. He has been to Liberia three times in the last three years, most recently in February of 2014.   He currently runs the global health curriculum and global health training at Baystate.
